Acrobat DC SO HORRIBLE it's making me want to cry.

I can't find anywhere to file a complaint or submit feedback, so here it is.

 

Acrobat DC is horrible. I feel like it wasn't made for professionals at all and makes it much more difficult to navigate a simple document. My custom toolbar at the top? Gone. Replaced by ridiculous pre-school style buttons on the right. Want to re-organize page order? It opens up an entirely separate window for that, totally unnecessarily.

 

 

Thanks for giving me a day of trying to figure out how I can delete this worthless pile of kindergarten garbage and somehow get back to just Acrobat XI while still using my cloud sub.


Acrobat 8.1.3 activation error

Acrobat 8.1.3 issues after a windows 7 professional repairs:

 

1. Acrobat disappears after opening a file,

2. Both activate and deactivate buttons are greyed out

3. Registration button fails to connect to internet.

4. Printing a document using Adobe pdf printer return activation error.

 

Any help is appreciated.

Acrobat DC update blocked

I recently installed DC under Windows 10 Pro, which went well. But when I tried to update, it gave a message "Acrobat updater is waiting for an existing operation to complete".

 

Following a reboot, the same message appeared. The problem was solved (with assistance from Support), by the following steps:

1. Run Task Manager as administrator (click right if you are logged into a standard user account)

2. End Acrobat

3. In Processes, end the 4 - 6 associated with Acrobat, including AcroTray (on my system there were 4 I think, but now there are 6)

4. Restart Acrobat

5. Try to update again - Help, Check for updates and follow the prompts.

 

In my case, the update then installed with no problems.

 

Suggestion to Adobe - if this is a common problem, you could put a link to a solution on the blocked update screen.

Instantly when starting Acrobat Pro DC I receive message: "Your application install seems to be damaged, Please reinstall the application." Trying to use update search: "Updater wird bereits ausgeführt." But nothing happens. The app itself seems to run ok, but no update possible. What can I do?

Is Acrobat DC included in my Creative Cloud subscription?

I have a yearly Creative Cloud subscription, which includes Acrobat XI. I'm being prompted by Creative Cloud to update to Acrobat DC, but when I start the update process, there is a dialog box warning that, "Installing a trial of Adobe Acrobat DC will uninstall previous versions of Acrobat. This will deactivate any license for those versions." Why is the Acrobat DC update being called a "trial"? Is  Acrobat DC included in my Creative Cloud subscription? (I've searched online and cannot find a definitive answer.) I don't want to loose Acrobat XI during the update and then find that Acrobat DC is going to be an additional monthly charge. Making this even murkier for me is the fact that Adobe categorizes Acrobat DC under the broader Document Cloud category, rather than under the broader Creative Cloud category, making me worry further that Acrobat DC may not be included in my CC subscription.

Hi guys!

 

First off, I really enjoy using Adobe products, because y'all do a good job with making robust, user friendly programs!

 

I am using Acrobat Pro X. It was corporate purchased and licensed for a single user. It's worked great. Now, since January 23rd, 2017, every time I use Acrobat Pro X, AdobeGCClient pops up with this statement:

 

"This copy of Acrobat is not genuine Adobe software. Your computer and documents are at risk. Click HERE to resolve this issue. For information, visit www.Adobe.com/genuine"

 

When I visit www.Adobe.com/genuine, it's an advertisement to use Adobe DC products, exclusively Arcobat Pro DC. I am an engineer, and I have definitive reasons for not updating to Acrobat Pro DC. Is there any way to turn this notification from AdobeGCClient off? AdobeGCClient.exe proactively delays Adobe Acrobat X from starting, and I must close AdobeGCClient.exe everytime.

Cannot activate or register X Pro on new computer - need prior qualifying product?

I deactivated Acrobat X Pro on my old computer, and have the serial number, but when I enter it to activate on my new computer I am supposed to have a prior qualifying product which is either 7 Pro, 8 Pro or 9.  I used this version of X Pro with this serial number on my prior computer.  I cannot use it or register it on the new one. HELP

Acrobat is asking me to buy or activate when I want to use any of its features. After clicking activate it give me the option to used the subscription I have paid for when I select it tells me to log out and in again. I have logged out and in multiple times and have uninstalled and re installed but no luck. even after it says "congratulations on purchasing Adobe Acrobat .Click continue to enjoy the licenced copy of your software."

I have an Adobe Acrobat Pro membership. The Account details show Windows platform. I use Windows on my desktop, but my laptop is a Mac. I cannot find a download for my Mac although I can download updates for the Mac version. Does this mean I need to buy a second subscription?

I just purchased a standalone Acrobat Pro DC and installed it on my computer. I got all the Product Codes and Activation Codes but when I try to activate it I get an error message "wrong serial numbers". How does one resolve this?

IN 2011 i paid for and downloaded version 10 and it works fine. i've just changed my laptop and am trying to download the software again. It shows in my Adobe account but there seems no way to download it - can anyone help?

Hi im having massive issues with adobe after someone at adobe remoted in to my work mac and making it work, i now can't use my adobe acrobat pro please help! it opens up then i get a warning ERROR 1 and it closes!!! please please please help

Hi All, anyone with this problem with Acrobat Pro XI, IM USING MAC, also Yosemite if that helps.

Also Adobe CC, BASICALLY IT just quit and i had to uninstall, re install, and I get this

I use Adobe Acrobat Professional everyday.  Today the icon is gone and it's asking me to download a trial version.  We have the license in the cloud.  Help.
