Acrobat X won't connect to update server on MacOS Sierra

Hello.

We have about 30 Macs, most of which run Acrobat X. Since we upgraded to MacOS 10.12 (and indeed 10.12.1) Sierra, none of them are able to connect to Adobe update servers. Upon checking for updates It always says:

"Cannot connect to Adobe update server. Please verify that you are connected to the Internet and check for updates again. Error 1042."

Reinstalling Acrobat doesn't make any difference.  Some of us have Acrobat XI or DC and those are fine.

Can anyone help?

Thanks in advance.

Can't Install Trial Acrobat Pro?

I tried to install a free trial of Acrobat Pro.  It will download, install, but not activate.  It says my 'free trial' has expired. I tried earlier today to download a trial, but it was not successful.  I tried to uninstall that, and try again with another email address.  Why can't I get a free trial?  Can anyone override whatever is preventing the program from activating?

Acrobat 9 pro problem

Hi,

Once in a while Windows 10 Pro updates screw up Acrobat IX pro license which stops working with the following message: ~The Acrobat 9 Pro was installed as a part of CS4 Master Suite. Please start any other application like Photoshop CS4 to activate it. Originally a license window came up (upon opening another CS4) then you could activate it. Later, uninstalling and reinstalling helped. Now seems nothing works. The latest Windows 10 Pro update screwed me up again. Uninstalled Acrobat IX Pro and can not put it back from the DVD it stuck on preparing to install message. The rest of the CS4 Master Suite works fine

Running Windows 10 Pro, 2.8 GH 8 core i7 Intel with 32 GB Ram. I depended on Acrobat IX Pro for Editing.  Definitely not nice.

Any workaround?

Thanks,

Are there any guides for installing Acrobat Pro DC on Xenapp / Remote Desktop Services?

Hi,

we currently have Acrobat 9 on 2008 R2 Xenapp server and i need to update it to Acrobat Pro DC. Are there any guides tutorials for this? Do you just use the standard client installer? What about licensing ? We have cloud licenses, does the user just log in with their cloud account?

Thank You

Chris

Repeated error trying to install Acrobat Pro DC

I have tried everything to install Acrobat Pro DC along with my other CC apps, but nothing is working: tried signing out and quitting the CC Desktop app and downloading manually, installing as root user, etc. I get through more than 85% of the install and it fails and says to try again.

At this point I have no copy of Acrobat on my computer and I am paying for Adobe CC. This is not acceptable - pleas help!

I am running OS 10.12.5 Sierra on a 2017 iMac 27" (but I was also having this problem on my OS 10.11.6 2009 iMac 21.5" previously).

My Adobe Acrobat recently updated to a new version.  I love Adobe Acrobat and use it all the time, but I truly despise this latest version and desperately want to get rid of it and rollback to the previous version.  I knew how to work with the last version, but nothing is clear in the updated version.  How do I roll back to the previous version?  Thanks.

Acrobat Pro DC 2015 vs. 2017 creative cloud subscription conflict

My partner and I have two creative cloud subscriptions. My partner subscribed to creative cloud 2017, and I rarely use the account on my computer.

Last year, I bought Acrobat Pro DC 2015 last year, and never used Creative Cloud. My partner's current 2017 creative cloud subscription NOW requires me to login to use my Acrobat Pro DC 2015.

Is there a way to not use creative cloud when I use my Adobe Acrobat 2015?

Thank you for any help!

Best,

Rob
