Acrobat DC Crashes - Initializing registration

I just downloaded and installed Acrobat DC on my Windows 10 laptop. Whenever I start it, it closes itself out after a few seconds with no error or pop-up or message of any sort. I went through the recommendations here: Resolve Acrobat DC intermittent crashes on Windows

 

But those steps did not help. However, on Step 4 it recommended running distiller which I attempted and distiller indicated that the product was not registered. But, that page says I should get a Sign In windows which I do not.

 

I again started Acrobat DC and went to Help -> Sign In/Sign Out and get an odd pop-up that says "Initializing registration... Please retry after a minute".

 

It has been many minutes and every time I retry, I get this error and Acrobat DC just keeps closing itself.

 

Any assistance or insights would be appreciated.

Purchased Adobe Acrobat Pro but cannot install

Hi,

 

I've bought Adobe Acrobat Pro but I cannot install it.

The message "The file acroserviceupdater.exe is not marked for installation" Always appears.

 

What can I do about this?

 

The free version installs without a problem.

I also executed the adobe cleanup (for adobe reader and acrobat removal), but no luck.

ich habe folgendes Problem:

 

Ich habe einen neuen Windows-Rechner auf dem ich mein Photoshop-Elements 15 wieder installieren möchte. Leider erhalte ich immer folgenden Hinweis:

Aber der richtige Pfad läßt sich nicht eingeben und diesen Pfad finde ich nicht auf meinem Rechner.

 

Auch die Installation von Acrobat Reader DC free wird abgebrochen.

Habe schon mit Ccleaner alles bereinigt. Trotzdem erhalte ich vorher immer noch die Meldung, dass eine alte Version gefunden wurde.

Was kann ich tun, damit ich gekaufte Adobe-Produkte installieren kann?

I used the Windows 10 program troubleshooter and gave up so I sent a message to Microsoft and cam back after detecting that the program is not compatible with Windows 10.  I cannot imagine and expensive program like Acrobat not working some way on Windows 10

Now, I can no longer use my pdf-printer or work on pdfs. A fresh installation from my original file doesn't work as "ressources are missing" (which I haven't got), and the same applies to a deinstallation. How can I make a fresh start with the original installation files? Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

We have Acrobat DC 2017 with volume licenses. On one of the installs, when launching the application a window comes up reading: :Unable to Validate Serial" number.

 

I called support (if that's what you call it) After being transferred to 7 different people and verifying the account, I finally get to some guy named "Kaushik" who refuses to help me because he cannot validate the account.

 

So I turn to the real experts, the user forum.

I needed Acrobat to view one file, so I did what I thought was a free 1-month download. Now I got charged for that month, and because I didn't cancel within 14 days (I signed up Feb 12 and today is March 4) now I just had to pay 50% of the annual contract in order to cancel. Final bill, about $110 American to view a single file. NOT a happy Adobe customer here, and I'll happily spread the word to steer clear of these "free" trials.

Adobe Acrobat 9 Standard constantly freezes

I have had this software for a long time, maybe 10 years, since I had Windows Vista 2 on my previous computer.  Now I have Windows 10 on my new computer, which I have had for three or four years.  It used to work well, but recently it constantly freezes when I read documents, etc.  It is simply impossible to use it anymore.  Windows operating system suggested to run it in compatibility mode with Windows Vista Service Pack 2.  But it hasn't helped.  If I don't run it in compatibility mode, it displays a message that Adobe is not responding.  In compatibility mode, it simply freezes.

Adobe Acrobat Pro 2017 Asking To Activate Subscription. Why?

So I've tried reaching out to Adobe via phone, which is useless because it is outsourced to India and they read scripts. So, I'm hoping someone out there who isn't a robot can help me!

 

Has anyone had trouble with Adobe Acrobat Pro 2017 asking to "activate your subscription"? I shouldn't have to activate my subscription because I entered a valid serial number, which was (according to the 'CS rep' on the phone) successfully activated on my machine. I did this process for all 4 of my machines, each with a unique and valid serial number. However, it requires me to sign in with my Adobe ID, and confuses it with my DC subscription.

 

This could be noteworthy, but I bought my serial numbers through TechSoup.

 

Yes, I'm using the Adobe Acrobat 2017 installer executable provided by TechSoup and Adobe.

 

The phone calls go in circles, and at one point they even tried to get me to buy a subscription to fix the issue.

 

Customer service as atrocious as this should be considered criminal. It's like they know how many people rely on Adobe, and know it won't make a difference if the product works or not. They just got our money, and that's all that matters.

 

/rant. I would just like for this software to work.

Acrobat DC won't launch after a fresh install

Started having trouble opening Acrobat DC on a Windows 10 Pro machine. It was giving us a message wanting us to sign in, but wouldn't accept the sign-in credentials we had set up. Uninstalled Acrobat, and reinstalled using the Dell Digital Delivery (same as the way it was installed the first time). Now it won't open when launching from the programs list. Found a reference to Adobe's Acrobat installation Cleanup tool and followed the directions for running that and deleting the Adobe folders in the Program Data and Program Files>Common Files folders. It still won't open after reinstalling. Have repeated the process several times running the Adobe cleanup tool each time, but no luck. Finally was able to install Reader and am limping along with that for now, but need to get Acrobat Standard DC operating again. Any ideas?

Can no longer sign fillable PDF forms with DC... worked fine with XI

I purchased a subscription to Acrobat Pro XI for the sole purpose of signing a fillable PDF form I need to submit to my company from time to time, and to avoid having to fill and print the form, manually sign it, and the scan it back into a new PDF form with my signature.... particularly because sometimes I don't have access to a printer or a scanner while traveling.

 

This worked perfectly with Acrobat Pro XI... I would just click on Sign, and drag my saved signature (a scan of my signature in .JPG format) to the signature line of the form, save it and email it.. done.

 

Now since this "Upgrade" to DC this no longer works.  Using the same form as before, I click on Fill and Sign, and I get a message saying ""Get Started:  You have opened a fillable PDF form.  This form does not let you drag and drop saved information"

 

I spoke with two different people in support, and the first one... after screen sharing confirmed it did not work as he expected either.... said he was going to "escalate it and I would be called by the escalation team.... which of course did not happen. Now I see in looking at my cases, that it was "Closed" Case 186619133 so he didn't escalate it after all.

 

Has anyone got this to work as the Acrobat Pro XI did to let you drag your saved signature to the form where you want to place it... or am I really going to have to downgrade to Acrobat Pro XI to regain this functionality?
