Unable to use MS Office 365 Acrobat Plug In: Error Message: "An error occurred while initializing the PDF library"
I'm using Acrobat DC Pro (2015 Release) and cannot use the OFFICE 365 plug ins. The following error appears: "An error occurred while initializing the PDF library"
Here's what I've done so far with no improvement:
1) Full uninstall & reinstall of Adobe Acrobat DC (twice)
2) Registry edits as per the Adobe Help pages (no impact)
3) Confirmed MS Office plug-ins are activated
So, not sure why this continues not to work. Any thoughts?

IMSLib.DLL error persists... Have tried all forum suggestions
I continue to receive the error "Installation Problem: IMSLib not found. Acrobat services will not work."
This is a new purchase, download, and installation of Acrobat Pro DC on a Windows 7 x64 desktop PC. I receive no errors during installation. I do not have Photoshop or other CC applications installed. I have tried all the suggestions in the earlier thread related to this issue (Installation Problem: IMSLIB not found. Acrobat Services will not work.). Approaches I have tried include (full restarts of Windows between any delete/install step):
1) Uninstalled old previously installed versions of Acrobat Pro 9 and Acrobat Reader. Ran the Adobe CC cleaner in both the new (DC) and old (CS) versions.
2) Uninstalled all other Adobe software on computer (eg: Flash)
2) Deleted all Adobe directories under Common Files and user AppData
3) Reinstalled CC and Acrobat DC Pro from scratch (I have now done the uninstall/reinstall 3 times)
4) Reinstalled Adobe Application Manager
5) Ran "Repair Installation" inside Acrobat DC Pro
6) Did the regsvr32 -u and -i options to rejigger the registry. It reported an error finding the DLL file.
7) Manually copied IMSLib.DLL from the Adobe installation directories to System32 and SysWOW64 Windows directories (I tried all 3 of the different versions in the underlying directories... They have different file sizes.)
Nothing changes the symptom. Opening either Pro DC or Reader DC gives the dll error and no extended services.
Please advise. I must get this working soon or request a refund and install a competing product. PDFs are a critical part of my work.

Has anyone had trouble with Adobe Acrobat Pro 2017 asking to "activate your subscription"? I shouldn't have to activate my subscription because I entered a valid serial number, which was (according to the 'CS rep' on the phone) successfully activated on my machine. I did this process for all 4 of my machines, each with a unique and valid serial number. However, it requires me to sign in with my Adobe ID, and confuses it with my DC subscription.
This could be noteworthy, but I bought my serial numbers through TechSoup.
Yes, I'm using the Adobe Acrobat 2017 installer executable provided by TechSoup and Adobe.
The phone calls go in circles, and at one point they even tried to get me to buy a subscription to fix the issue.
Customer service as atrocious as this should be considered criminal. It's like they know how many people rely on Adobe, and know it won't make a difference if the product works or not. They just got our money, and that's all that matters.

SUDO problems installing Acro 10 to El Capitan
SUDO (Super User) strikes again!
This time it is preventing me from installing Acrobat X Pro to a macpro 3.,1 running El Capitan (10.11.6)
The install proceeds fine until "running package scripts" then it stalls. Forever (at least for 24 hours, as far as I've tolerated it)
Can't force quit either. Power Off is the only way to get out of it.
Seems that Super User is not granting permission for something.and that messgae repeats and repeats.
What is the workaround for this?
Change language in Acrobat XI Pro - It does not work
I installed Acrobat XI Pro using the Adobe Application Manager (AAM) on Windows 7, English. I am on a Creative Cloud subscription, so i have no .exe file to install from.
Acrobat XI Pro defaults the Application Language to English when installing from AAM since Windows is an English version. I want Acrobat XI Pro in Swedish language.
If i go to Acrobat's Preferences > Language and change the Application Language from English to "Choose at application startup" i never get the dialog that should provide me with the option to change language when i re-launch Acrobat XI Pro. If i hold down Shift-Ctrl when launching Acrobat XI Pro i don't get that dialog either.
I see the same issue on three computers, two with Win 7 and one with Win 8. Both OS versions are English.
So, how do i change the Application Language from English to Swedish?

When I create a PDF, I cannot email it right away. The PDF file appears to have a temporary hold on it. It will go in a few hours, but I never know when. Why??
When I create a PDF it cannot be sent via email right away. There appears to be a hold, or 'in use' on the file. Eventually the hold drops and I can send it, but I never know when that is. I am using a fully loaded desktop with SSD drives, Acrobat DC from the Creative Cloud, Windows 10 Pro. Why does it do it and how can I release it?

Adobe Acrobat DC on Terminal Server
We recently one of our client's Terminal Servers to Windows Server 2016 and the old Adobe Acrobat software they used seems to be having issues with advanced features involving Excel. If I buy 4 user licenses for Acrobat DC, will other non-licensed users still be able to access the basic/free functions of Acrobat DC or will the software lock them out?
Might seem like a stupid question but would rather be sure before using someone else's money.

I know this has got to be in your database for an answer but after 4 hours now of searching and chatting with a rep at Adobe, I still can't get this to activate. can someone please direct me to what I'm doing wrong? Very simply, the harddrive had to be wiped and I am now reinstalling to same computer and the old serical number would't activate and then I got a new serial number from the chat board and someone at Adobe and this too give me this message and the chat person told me to go to the forums. License issue with Pro 2017 purchase -Adobe Support useless
So I spent 4 hours with tech support and went through 1 phone call and 3 chats to still have the issue and more problems....
I purchased a single user license for Pro 2017 and installed it and added the SN and all that to be told that all my seats are in use.
I contacted chat and the tech added the license to my account since it didn't show and sent me a new installer...for 2015.
Did not work. Went back to chat and the next tech told me that I had to sign up with another ID and could not have a cloud and a single purchase on the same ID. But they could not remove the license so I somehow have to use magic to unlink and relink to another account when the account its actually assigned to does not work....
Well the license is on this could account so I contact them again to let the know that a new ID did not work...So back to chat and the next tech asks for access to the computer and assures me they can fix this.
They removed and reinstalled Classic...not PRO 2017 but what do I know.
Well that did not work same license issue, so then the tech signs out the other users and activates this machine for cloud......and now I have pissed off users who got kicked out mid day and still no luck on the $500.00 software license. Of course the tech is happy to have "fixed" the issue....
Can anyone help direct me to a competent tech support chat or number that can actually help me. I don't care how many ID's i need i just need to use the software I paid for.
Or tell me how I can move/use the single user license when installing instead of it defaulting to the cloud?
