Cannot register typelibrary for file C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Acrobat DC\Acrobat\acrobat.tlb

When installing the new version of acrobat DC we get the error message Cannot register typelibrary for file C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Acrobat DC\Acrobat\acrobat.tlb. How can we solve this?


IBM Notes 9 doesn't start after updating Acrobat DC

Hey folks,

 

in January 2016 we upgraded from Lotus Notes 8.5.3 and Acrobat 9.5.5 to IBM Notes 9 and Acrobat DC. After first install everything works fine.

 

After updating Acrobat DC it always adds the following line to the notes.ini file:

EXTMGR_ADDINS=AdobePDFMToolbarInst

This causes IBM Notes to crash at startup. The following lines are written to the logfile:

Manually removing the "EXTMGR..." line  solves the problem. Unfortunately I have to do it again, everytime after Acrobat updates itself. Of course this matches every PC in our company.

 

Please tell me if there is any solution to this problem. Perhaps it's possible to prevent Acrobat from adding that one line to the notes.ini?

 

Just to make that sure: of course I also placed this question at IBM!!!

Acrobat DC continually asks for subscription to be "purchased" this is already done.

After uninstalling, reinstalling, and signing in and out of CC 4 times, each time Acrobat DC is opened the "subscription expired" message appears and makes the program completely unusable as anything but a viewer.  Windows 10 PC.  This needs to be addressed immediately because it is obvious others have the same problem.  There is no reason a paid subscription should be unavailable to the subscriber.

How and where can I activate my Acrobat Pro 7 on my nem PC, I registered but now Soft ware ask me to activate.

After change of machine, I re-installed my Acrobat Pro 7, I registered it on Adobe website, but now to activate it, I found only errors pages, and there is no more phone contacts to help me.

Adobe Acrobat Pro DC: unable to validate serial number. [was: NEED HELP URGENTLY]

I recently purchased Adobe Acrobat Pro DC ( Order Number: 12152877759 ) for MAC. I followed the steps to download the program. When I reached to Serial Number page in the installation steps, a yellow massage appear  on the top of the page with : "We are unable to validate the serial number of Adobe Acrobat. Pls contact Customer Service" even before I enter the serial number. When I entered the number sent by the receipt email, the same massage sill on the top of the page without any progress.

I tried many times to uninstall all the related acrobat folders, restart the system & download the program from link Download Pro or Standard versions of Acrobat DC, XI, or X   But Same Problem was Repeated. I also changed my Adobe account & used a new one & still the same problem accrued. I mentioned this problem from yesterday & had been connected with meenakshin83966505Employee all day long without any solution progress & it end up with this massage (If you still get error message, you need to Contact Customer Care. Sign in with your Adobe ID and then select your product from the list. Then select chat option under "Still need help?Contact us"). From yesterday evening till now I got no reply or connected with anyone to help solving this problem.

I paid 450 US$ to buy this product & can not use it for unknown problem & no support with it !!!!

I need to get a reply how to solve the problem & make the program work. or els I should refund for my payment. Fast action is highly appreciated.

I have multiple licenses for Pro XI and I'm switching a user to new computer. I uninstalled XI from old pc and have been trying to install on new pc and it keeps rolling back and not installing.

Security update fails Acrobat Pro xi, windows 7. Tried uninstall, reinstall and also tried deleting files in c:\config.msi folder.

Any ideas of other options?

Scanner not working in Acrobat but does in Photoshop

My CanoScan 8600F is not working with Acrobat XI, I get he message that "Acrobat could not communicate to this device." Adobe Photoshop Elements 4.0 has no problems working with the scanner. How do I get Acrobat to communicate with the scanner?

Another little unwelcome feature in Acrobat DC for Mac is the constant OCR function. I work in architectural drawings. These rarely require character recognition. A lot of these drawings now are rendered from Revit, so the file sizes are starting to be gargantuan with all the additional data. The first drawing I opened in Acrobat DC, I thought it would never open, I just kept seeing a small status bar at the lower portion of the page.

 

I finally found a Preference to "control" the OCR a little better and restrict to Current Page. But, even then, give the drawings I deal with, each time I flip to a new page, it's a very long delay. Sometimes I just want to scan quickly. In previous versions of Acrobat Professional, the user had the option of scanning a document. Why was that option taken away?

 

I have found myself using the OS X application Preview more and more since installing DC to jump through architectural drawings. Is there any way to make OCR scanning an option, and not default in Acrobat Professional DC?

Save-As... Can I make "Alt - F - A" open a windows folder navigation box that defaults the current location to the folder that the original file is in?

Okay, Acrobat DC.

 

"Alt - F- A - Enter" does nothing.  Odd... okay... fine.  Hard to believe that was as intended.  But okay..

 

So, I take my hand off the keyboard and click "Choose a different folder"...

 

I get the windows dialogue box I want, however, it defaults to "My Documents".

 

I want it to default to where they file I did the "Alt-F-A" from lives on my hard disk.

 

Thoughts on how to go directly to the windows box and original location?

Does Acrobat do Graphics Acceleration?

 

I have a dell precision 7710 laptop.  It has a Quadro M5000M. 

 

In NVidia Control Panel I have adobe Acrobat DC to use the Quadro card, but on the task bar, the Quadro Activity icon does not show acrobat using the Quadro.

 

If I run Adobe Photoshop, Photoshop shows it is using the Quadro, but Acrobat does not use the Quadro instead the integrated GPU.

 

Nvidia Says this is an issue with Acrobat.  Is there a setting in Acrobat to use the dedicated GPU?

 

I have some large drawing pdf files that take some time to render on the screen.

Adobe Acrobat X Default Program

I downloaded the Acrobat Pro DC trial (for 30 days) in order to test functionality/usability in conjunction with Adobe Send & Track. I quickly realized neither program would suffice for my needs and quickly uninstalled Adobe Acrobat DC (during initial installation I left my Adobe Acrobat X installed) and attempted to revert back to Adobe Acrobat X.

 

I am no longer able to set my default PDF viewer to Acrobat X. I am able to open my PDFs by first opening Adobe Acrobat X and dragging and dropping my file onto the Acrobat X window, however I am unable to open multiple instances of PDF simultaneously (only one instance at a time) using this method.

 

I do not have my serial number as this version of Adobe was installed on a work computer years ago and there is no disc, box or other documentation that we are aware of... If I were to do a clean uninstall and reinstall Adobe will prompt for my registration key, which I do not have.

 

How should I proceed forward in obtaining my registration key so that I can do an uninstall and clean install and have full use of my Adobe once more?

Cannot activate Acrobat DC

I am signed into my Adobe account but cannot seem to activate Acrobat DC even though I have purchased subscription using the same ID. When I try to input the serial number, I get a message "Acrobat license could not be activated. Please retry after sometime." And I have already waited and still cannot activate.

 

I have also tried by simply signing into my account to activate but keep getting this promptCapture.JPG

I have signed in and out but it still won't activate. I have also uninstalled and installed the most up to date version. I am using Windows 7 PC Desktop. Please let me know how to activate my subscription.

I had an older version of Adobe Prof and I just installed DC.

I used to be able in Outlook to just right click on an email and there was an option to Save as PDF and it would create and I'd save. The option is no longer there and it takes more steps. Maybe this is a set issue or is it no longer available?

Two sided printing is no longer an option.

There has been a recent update or something for my Acrobat Pro DC and now I can no longer print on both sides of a 8.5 x 11 page.

There use to be a selection where I could check "Print on both sides od page" but it is no longer anywhere to be found.

Is there a way to restore this?

My Adobe Acrobat isn't working. I have no idea what to do.

I kept getting a message about ICC distiller profiles or something and reinstalling acrobat - so I uninstalled on my desktop but now can't find the serial no.  I have the program on my laptop. What can I do to reinstall on my desktop?

Cannot Activate Adobe Pro XI After Hard Drive Fail

I had a HDD fail and had to install a new hard drive and reload all my programs as Windows 10 backup did not restore correctly.

 

I re-installed Acrobat Pro XI from an downloaded .exe file about a month ago.

 

When I opened Adobe in the last month all I got was a dialog box in "Greek" with what I presume was a 30 days countdown. I presume this as the text in it looks like Greek text.

 

Now all I get is a dialog box with "00" in it with "greek" text.

 

I have clocked on the highlighted entry and it presents me with what appears to be a form to enter my Serial Number.

 

I enter my latest serial number (I have upgraded Acrobat several times). This results in a yellow box with "greek" text with the serial number I entered. Entering the same number just results in the same dialog box reappearing.

 

I have tried previous serial numbers with no positive result.

 

Any ideas?
